Very Late to the Party, But Here Are My 2024 Highlights (That No One Asked For)
Academic Highlights 🎓
1. Graduated with First-Class Honours
Officially graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Networking and IT Security degree! Despite messing up big time, I managed to maintain an overall grade of 81%.
2. AAA Scholarship Award
One of the happy moments of the year was receiving the Academics, Attitude, and Attendance (AAA) Scholarship. This award waived an entire year’s tuition fee, a huge relief and a testament of my dedication.
Career Highlights 💼
1. A Year at Manifested MSSP Company
Completed a year at one of my biggest manifested companies— one of the top Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) from Nepal. It was an incredible learning experience, but as life goes, the journey there came to an end.
2. Remote SOC Analyst at an Australian MSSP
Shortly after, Landed my manifested role as a Remote SOC Analyst at an Australian MSSP while in my final semester of bachelors degree. Working as an Analyst, and this role has been so far both challenging and rewarding.
Personal Highlights 🌟
1. Bungee Jumping from 228 Metres!
Kicked off 2024 by jumping off a 228-metre-high bridge! Yes, you read that right—I went bungee jumping and lived to tell the tale. I even received a Certificate of Bravery for it. Definitely a story for the grandkids.
2. Concerts of My Favorite Bands
Experienced live performance from some of my favorite Nepali bands.
Project Highlights 🛠️
1. Final Year Project: Airca
Worked on my final year project, “Automated Incident Response for Cyber Anomalies (Airca)”, a system that automatically detects, analyses, and responds to security incidents and is fully containerised which makes it lightweight, easy to deploy and ready to use in any environment. 2. Advanced Cloud Firewalls (ACFW)
Worked on a project that involved testing various attacks on popular cloud firewall solutions and evaluating their effectiveness.
3. Unity Game Development
Ventured into Unity game development and created an Automated Agent Delivery System using algorithms such as A* and Ant Colony Optimization. It was a fun and creative way to apply my technical skills.
4. Jekyll Blogging Template Customization
Customized jekyll blogging website to make it mine. PS: This website is a customized version that is one of the Jekyll’s popular template.
Goals for 2025 ⚽
